Research on the condition for establishment of Emergency Medical System

Abstract
This study was conducted to identify the characteristics of patients admitted to the emergency unit and emergency medical conditions for effective health care delivery system.
The subjects were total 921 patients who would consist of 739 remained records and 182 dicharged without management after visiting ER.
The number of patients was 16,897 for one year, and an average number per month was 1,408.
Thity five patients were not admitted and twenty three visited patients admitted per day.
Internal medical care was major requirement for the patients (28.3%).
Factors related to increased occurrence were male (58.8%), age of the first decade (17.3%), day duty from 8:00AM to 16:00PM (41.6%), especially on Sunday (10.4%), diseases of digestive system (15.3%).
Patients consist of 26.5% of mild cases, 26.0% of moderate cases, and 47.5% of severe cases.
Patients consist of 14.3% transferred from others, 0.9% transferred to others, and 84.7% visited without a written request.
